Alfredo Barbini Murano dish bowl Circus Tent blue/white / gold leaf Labeled
Original Venetian art glass dish, made by renowned Italian master glass artist Alfredo Barbini in Murano Italy for Weil Ceramics and Glass. This is the Circus Tent design, sculpted using the Sommerso technique. Light blue and white glass is fused together seamlessly with gold leaf applied to the colored glass, and the entire piece is wrapped in clear crystal glass. Made circa 1950s - 1960s. The dish is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, scratches, flea bites, or imperfections anywhere.
It still has the original gold label attached. The ground bottom is slightly worn, as expected for a true vintage piece.
This dish was displayed carefully for around 60 years. The dish measures approximately 5.75 inches across at its widest points, and about 2.25 inches high. It weighs over two pounds 34.5 oz. It will depend on the items.
